Heart Breath Meditation

This practice uses the breath to create awareness, presence, and healing. Our heart holds so much wisdom and compassion and has an innate healing nature. In this meditation we will progressively build our breath to connect to the space of the heart, to find gratitude, and in turn, find a greater connection to self and those around us. Allow as many breath cycles as you’d like for each part of the body.

Rachel Petri (she/her) has been teaching yoga, meditation, and breath work since 2016. As a lifelong lover of these practices, Rachel has personally experienced and witnessed the healing power they hold and works to share this with multiple different communities. Rachel is a 300hr RYT and is trained in Vinyasa, Katonah, Kundalini, and Bhakti styles of yoga. She is also a certified LYB Yoga Teacher and Mindset Facilitator. She is trained in, and a continual student of, mindfulness meditation and breath work as practices to find consistent self-care, mental well-being, and emotional understanding. She is trained by GuruMeher Khalsa in Meditation for Emotional Liberation and leads her students to look to their emotions as information and an opportunity to heal. Rachel started her own Meditation & Yoga business, Space to Breathe, in 2020, to lead people to use the tools of meditation, yoga, and community as ways to live an uplifted and inspired life through finding healing and growth. She also serves as LoveYourBrain’s Communications & Social Media Manager to make it possible for the brain injury community to live a fulfilling, joyful, and connected life.
