Building an Inner Resource
Today’s practice focuses on building an Inner Resource which is a felt sense in the body that helps you feel relaxed, at ease, and in control of your experience. We’ll practice feeling the Inner Resource while also sensing the body and breath. Once practiced regularly over time, you may find that this internal feeling of ease in the body is unchanging, no matter your circumstances. You may call upon it if you wish to feel a sense of security and wellbeing. Or, you may return to it anytime you feel overwhelmed or if you simply need to take a momentary time-out.
Stephanie Lopez, LISW-S, C-IAYT, is the Senior Director, Senior iRest® Trainer and Retreat Leader for the iRest Institute.
