Meet Steph Winsor!
Steph Winsor (she/her) is a yoga and meditation teacher in Denver, CO and has worked with LoveYourBrain in many capacities - leading our Retreats, Mindset program, Trainings, Yoga series, and beyond.
Steph leads yoga, meditation, and educational courses that braid together traditional wisdom of the ancient East and evidence-based Western science, bringing in elements of psychology and neurorehabilitation. If you’ve ever met Steph, you also know that in whatever she is doing she carries with her an infectious joy and ability to create connection. With her expertise and heart, she also serves as a Meditation Teacher in our Meditation & Yoga Library.
With Connection being one of the core pillars of our Meditation & Yoga Resources, we asked Steph to share a bit more about why connection is important, and how it can support us to live well!
Why is cultivating connection important?
Connection is essential to my well-being! It makes me feel social and safe, happy and encouraged when I am around people that know and support me. Connection fills me with inspiration, laughter, and a tenderness that reminds me to be gentle with my own heart, and with others' hearts, too.
What does living with connection look like to you?
When I think of connection, I think mostly of human connection and relationship building. I love to walk into a space and offer my joy to others as I often receive it back in an energizing and loving way. It often looks like smiles, a shared deep breath or belly laugh, a soft hug, or a safe place to cry.
How does connection support you to live well?
Connection supports me in knowing that I am already whole, already deeply lovable, and more than enough. Connection reminds me that no matter what happens that I am worthy of presence and relationship. For example, even on my hardest days, it's the people in my life that remind me I am going to be okay - not always with their words or insights, but with their ability to be with me, to feel supported and connected, to accept a hug and gently lean into help or time spent together.
Connection is my antidote to loneliness or hopelessness.
