LYB Mindset Facilitator
About me: My teaching style has continued to evolve since it began in 2017. It is influenced by my lived experience with TBI and the subsequent evolution of my personal yoga and meditation practice. My medical background has given me a strong foundation of how the brain and body function, shaping how I cue and guide students through class. My passion for accessible yoga led me to complete additional training in chair yoga, mindfulness, and yoga for those who have experienced a brain injury. Nature is my happy place - especially in my garden or at the beach. I love spending time with my husband and rescue pup, Olaf.
Why LYB: I discovered LYB through a local yoga studio, and my involvement with the organization has changed the trajectory of my brain injury journey. It was the first space post-TBI that I felt seen and heard. I am honored to hold space for others to experience the connection, friendship, growth, and healing that a LYB container can invite.
Superhero: To me, a superhero is anyone who has lived through trauma and is here, showing up, doing what they can to care for themselves, and harnessing resilience to move forward.
