LYB Mindset Facilitator
About me: In 1980 I broke my neck, my hips, and lost my friend in a car crash. Ten years later, I learned about TBI, which explained so much. I am grateful for this experience which launched me into my lifelong journey of healing.
Why LYB: The LYB Program is making a big difference in the world, not just for me, but for the entire brain injury community. As a yoga teacher and TBI survivor, I have found a place where I feel like I truly belong and can make a significant contribution.
Superhero: Right now, Swedish climate activist, Greta Thurnberg. I admire her blunt style of speaking truth to power, starting as young as age 15. Here is what she said in a TedTalk in 2018: “I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, OCD, and selective mutism. That basically means I only speak when I think it's necessary. Now is one of those moments.”
Resources: I offer what I call SLO-YO, a gentle yoga approach which includes QiGong, neurobics, and other science-based wellness practices. My classes are suitable for all levels, especially seniors. www.loumccall.com
