Brett Tivers
he/him - New Plymouth, New Zealand
LYB Mindset Facilitator
About me: I am a New Zealander and was a professional cyclist. In 2012 I crashed while racing in the U.S. and sustained my TBI. I got a secondary concussion while teaching Physical Education back in New Zealand in 2013.
Why LYB: In 2019, I was fortunate to attend a LYB retreat and be involved in the LYB Mindset program. The involvement and connection in the LYB community has been so beneficial to me that I want to help others to reap these same benefits. My desire is to help build a strong LYB community where we can connect with people that "get it". Where we can support each other to be the best we can be by using the tools learnt through the Mindset Program and through using real life experiences to help each other reflect, grow and action positive changes.
Superhero: Pearce brothers. For developing an organization that has been instrumental in helping so many affected by TBI and their caregivers/families.
