Clinical Affiliate Spotlight
2020 has been a year of resilience, flexibility, and innovation. We see that show up across all of our partnerships and programs - including our Clinical Affiliates! We asked our Clinical Affiliate Manager Jackie Farrell to share a little insight about how our Clinical Affiliates continue to meet the needs of their clients, despite the many challenges that show up along the way.
Jackie, can you tell us a little about LoveYourBrain’s partnership with Galaxy Brain Health and Therapy Center?
The Galaxy Brain Health and Therapy Center team!
At the start of 2020, LoveYourBrain welcomed Galaxy Brain and Therapy Center, based in Ann Arbor Michigan, to our network of Clinical Affiliates. Four fantastic clinicians (Courtney, Barbaranne, Jennifer, and Quynh) came to our last in-person training in January, 2020. They began their first LoveYourBrain series shortly after returning home to their clinic. Due to Covid-19, the team had to quickly decide how to move forward with their passion and excitement to become a Clinical Affiliate in a way that was safe for their team and their patients.
What challenges did Galaxy face, and how did they innovate around those challenges?
After transitioning from an in-person LYB series to a virtual one, the team truly went the extra mile to create a series tailored for their patients’ needs. Along with the live virtual classes, they created a customized chair yoga practice for their patients to use between sessions. They were able to create this by adapting and using content from our new LYB Mindset Program.
What impact does this have on our Clinical Affiliates?
By developing new content tailored for their patients, the team at Galaxy has shown their ability to integrate information from the LYB training with their clinical expertise and has begun to illuminate opportunities for growth including future content specifically tailored for all of our Clinical Affiliate partner facilities.
