Gaby O’Shea

Hi, I am Gabriela O’Shea, a young woman who loves riding her bicycle and many outdoor activities. I am a survivor of traffic violence as I rode my bicycle. I’ve worked hard to regain my life and my abilities, and I am so grateful to have connected with Love Your Brain. Love Your Brain taught me that I am not alone living life with severe TBI, that there is a tremendous community, and tremendous potential for us all. 

LoveYourBrain brought me to value and appreciate living life in a way and at a pace that works best for me, given my changed abilities. It has brought me to love and value myself, so that I no longer feel shame at having a brain injury. I love connecting with others in the community. To learn, laugh, explore, push ourselves, and value ourselves and our time, exactly as we are.

I await this year’s Ride for Resilience with hopeful anticipation! Looking forward to connecting with more in the LoveYourBrain community, and reaching out to connect to and support others.
