Day 2
TBI-friendly Movement - LoveYourBrain Yoga for Brain Injury Mini Training
Welcome to Day 2 of the 5-day Yoga for Brain Injury Mini Training!
After TBI, some people experience vestibular symptoms like dizziness, poor balance, and nausea. So, what can we do to make yoga poses more accessible for TBI?
Limit or avoid a lot of head movement, which can exacerbate vestibular symptoms like dizziness, nausea, vertigo, and poor balance. For example, in poses like cat-cow, start by keeping your head still and focus the movement just in your spine, then, eventually explore adding more range of movement to see how that feels and potentially build more tolerance.

Today, post a response (in the comments or in your own IG feed--whatever is easiest!) to:
What is another yoga pose that includes movement of the head and neck, and how could you adapt that pose to make it more accessible for people with TBI who have vestibular symptoms?
