Coming to Rest
A meditation to help you slow down. Bring rest to the body by creating awareness of the ground supporting you, your breath flowing in and out, and your thoughts slowing down.
Paloma Cain, MA, psychology, works to bridge the worlds of traditional Buddhist practice and contemporary mindfulness in clinical settings, seeing the commonality as the desire to relieve suffering. Experienced in teaching MBSR, mindful parenting, foundations of mindfulness classes, daylongs, sitting groups, and short retreats, she now works primarily in training and mentoring. She is authorized to teach by Trudy Goodman and Jack Kornfield.
We invite you to take a moment to pause with Rachel Petri, our Communications Manager, and hear how we will be sure that our community is rested and taken care of in the new year!
The power of Rest
It is essential for our well-being to pause.
When we don’t, we can easily get trapped by the momentum of our old patterns, fears, and automatic reactions - especially after brain injury.
