    This workshop explores how breath practices can be a powerful tool for mental and physical health after brain injury. Led by Dr. Tracey Meyers, this workshop will share simple and effective breathing techniques proven to relieve stress and improve mood, mental focus, and performance.

  • iRest® Guided Meditation for Sleep and PTS(D) after TBI: Science & Practice

    This engaging workshop blends critical information about how sleep and the nervous system are impacted after TBI, and how iRest® has been proven to help. You’ll experience a range of simple and effective TBI-friendly iRest to utilize when teaching or to support yourself. You’ll also be guided through a longer practice to calm the mind, balance the nervous system, and promote deep rest and sleep.

  • Mental Well-being for Veterans & Civilians with TBI: Digital Therapeutics, Mindfulness, and Belonging

    LoveYourBrain is excited to present a panel event featuring experts offering innovative mental health services for TBI. This engaging conversation will blend educational and experiential components, as well as provide opportunities for participating in novel Digital Therapeutics (Dtx) research and accessing free, mindfulness-based programs for veterans, active duty service members, and civilians with TBI!

  • Mind, Body, and Heart: Tools for Supporting Mental Health after Brain Injury

    In this workshop, Dr. Tracey Meyers, Psy.D., C-IAYT, E-RYT shared a framework for how to best support mental health among people with brain injury from a nervous system perspective. This experiential workshop shared core TBI-friendly yoga and mindfulness practices that support stabilizing, balance, soothing, and calming the nervous system.

  • Yoga and Mindfulness for Emotion Regulation after Brain Injury

    Dr. Tracey Meyers, Psy.D., C-IAYT, E-RYT 500 shares important concepts and tools related to emotion regulation, self-soothing, and increasing stress tolerance specific for the brain injury community. This workshop explored key nervous system regulation components directly by practicing short and effective mindfulness and yoga exercises.

  • TBI and PTS(D): The Yoga and Science of Healing

    A panel discussion on why yoga, mindfulness, and brain wave therapy are critical healing modalities for TBI and PTS(D). In the US, research estimates that about 1 in 5 civilians with TBI develop PTS(D), whereas about 1 in 2 service members with concussion may have PTS(D). Because TBI and PTS(D) can co-occur - but not always - it’s essential to understand how they intersect to be able to effectively support both conditions.
